The workshop “Application of RRI and Open Science in Public Service: bridging the gap between society and policy and decision makers” will be held on 18 September 2019 at the Open Science Fair in Porto (Portugal). During 2 hours,  Ciência Viva and Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação (SPI) will provide the audience with tools on how to better approach, engage and integrate society in solving local challenges using design-led and co-creation methodologies.

The workshop will be mostly practical starting off with  a brief introduction about design-led and co-creation processes and methodologies, followed by practical exercises in which the participants will  have to define and develop the implementation of a strategy on how to engage the public with a specific local challenge.
