Co-design for society in innovation and science
Co-creation and co-design are flourishing in Europe as a possible solution to bridge the gap between science, society and innovation, however, policy makers, researchers and other relevant stakeholders are not fully aware of the potentialities it offers. But, what are the triggers and drivers but also the conditions that favour it?
Gaining a better knowledge of this phenomenon is crucial to deepen and extend the use of such methodologies. To achieve that, SISCODE is running a European wide study to compare co-creation ecosystems and understand its dynamics as well as the outcomes it generates. But only research will not be sufficient to scale things up. SISCODE will also experiment in real life contexts. 10 existing labs will be testing these ideas having chosen 10 challenges to solve. Policy makers will have there a unique opportunity to test and explore solutions and tools, to gain a better real life understanding of how these processes could work in a tangible manner.
