The online SISCODE workshop “User centered design: co-creation and co-design in healthcare” will take place on June 25th from 14.30 to 17.30. The workshop is organized by the SISCODE partner APRE– Agency for Promotion of European Research, in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Health. The workshop intends to support the internationalization of the Italian health research system, highlighting the aspects of citizen engagement and user-centred innovation, which will strongly characterize the upcoming Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, Horizon Europe.
The 3-hour workshop will be held in Italian, and it is aimed at presenting to Italian policymakers and the Italian health actors a number of co-creation and co-design methodologies that can be applied to develop innovative user-centered solutions.
The workshop will build upon the experience of BodySound, an initiative that investigates the effects of music in relation to physical-motor needs of children diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Thanks to a tailored interactive format, the workshop will provide first-hand experience of the co-design process and methodology. This will contribute to increase participants’ awareness on the actual opportunities to develop user-centered solutions, and will allow to discuss real challenges faced by participants.
BodySound is an initiative of Polifactory – one of SISCODE’s 10 co-creation labs and design laboratory of the Polytechnic University of Milan – in collaboration with FightTheStroke (FTS), a social promotion association active in the field of children and perinatal stroke and of children cerebral palsy diagnosis.
